lino's

well this post should really be the on my desk one :) Cause this is on my desk.

Well the kids went down for a snooze. They are normaly really good but we've been at home a bit too much this week and they have been a bit stir crazy today. It's a heat wave in March!!! Crazy.

After that last post I decided I really should ink up those blocks and see what they are like. Only problem was I had no block ink. Heaps of paint on hand though so I just used my fabric ink. It's pretty thick like block ink but it didn't really roll on as well. I'm pretty happy with how one of the prints turned out except I can't get a good sharp line and the paper was too damp. hmmm maybe I'm not actually that happy with them at all! I'm using a spoon as my printing press so that may be the problem. Next time I'll use some good ink and maybe a rolling pin. I would so love a printing press. Or most certainly a gocco! I have been leaving some really big hints to lach that I would really like a gocco and where he can buy me one at the best price.

It was nice to pull out some old pictures. I think I cut these about 4-5years ago!

next for today a go at the pixie softies me thinks. Sleep babies, sleep.:)

I love your lino prints. I would love to have a go of it again (haven't done one since high school). Where do you get the lino from? Is it available at art & craft shops?
