buttons, buttons, buttons

a pretty little bundle of buttons. I'm feeling the need to make some more little hair clips. Not for tully but for my overload of xmas presents for neices.

my little botanist

Lachie has been busy trampsing all over the country side madly searching for native orchids. They are flowering early and he needs to get leaf clippings of them for his work. He has permits to do this :) He bought home a couple of them to press yesterday and tully tought she would join in so ran outside and came back with a bunch of sourgrass that she proceeded to stick down with daddies special archival tape:) so cute What a wonderful little botanist she is becoming.

And who can resist the temptation on chewing on a bit of sourgrass :)

And daddies work. So this is what is supposed to look like. He put it away before i got a close up of the flower. pity cause they are so stunning.

lil fishing buddy

This is the last little tee to go up for the stocking tommorrow night. Gotts love that fly fishing fabric :D

tully's first picture

I did this drawing for tully before she was born. I had forgotten all about it, even though it sits in her bedroom.

sneak peek

a little sneak peek of a little pixie i just finished today. Can't show more as i want it to be a surprise.

I had a little glimpse of what i'm swapping for on my swapee's blog (well i think it's for us anyway:D) and i'm very excited. More will be revealed soon

spring has sprung

well it had but now the weather has turned bad again. oh well....

to mark the short return of the sunshine I've finished off a couple more little springtime girls and a couple of cute little character's on short sleeve tee's. I had planned on having more up and stocking later in the week but we are going away the following week and i wouldn't have been here to send the tee's off to their new owners. Hopefully i will be able to finish off a little boys size 4 top as promised as well. Mind you the size 4 cotton raglan sleeve bonds is the same size as a size 2 bonds cotton-elastane. I don't really undrestand why that is so maybe if you have a size 4 boy and they wear the cotton raglan tops you can reassure me that it will fit....please:)
These are up previewing in tikki's ozebaby store at the moment and i'll send them live on Wednesday night after Spicks and Specs SAtime (9pm) can't go missing my fav show for the week.

long time....no blogging

well it has been a while, hasn't it! Gee time flies......

We made a flying (literally) visit to Melbourne on the weekend for Lach's Mum's 60th. Kids were great on the flight (it's only 1 hour) although the descent into adelaide on return leg was a little hard on the tullster as she had picked up a bit of a cold and her ears were giving her trouble. Whilst in melb we got to catch up with tikki, andy, lily and granny annie (aka annie bammie) for a visit to the zoo. What fun we all had, albeit a little tired from the party the night before. No we didn't party hard just stayed up late waiting for taxi's to ferry us home.

Back home Monday and lach had to go away bright and early tuesday morning so here i am holding the fort. Got to the shops yesterday and purchased some nice bright tee's. I was particularly pleased to get some suitable for boys as they have been hard to find lately. Have finished painting 2 little chicks and have a turtle and elephant appliqued and ready to paint. Have some pics done for some more little dudes and bought some size 4 tee's especially. The thing that puzzles me is that there is hardly any difference in size between a size 2 cotton-elastane and a size 4 cotton bonds top. Not sure what it is with that.
I'm hoping to do a rather largish stocking at the end of next week, although it is busy busy time for lach and the little native orchids he works on. They're popping up all over the country side and he's madly running around the hills collecting leaf samples. The orchid at the top of the page is what he's working on (i think) and i'm not sure if the shot is set up or for real???? anyway i like it
and a special happy birthday to lana lizard :D missing you liz

lil fairy girl

lil fairy girl was finished and uploaded just 1/2 hour before I had planned to pop the tee's up live last night. Talk about meeting deadlines :D Lach thinks she's the best one yet. She is pretty cute huh? I love the lilac tee she's on. It's a baby eco 100% organic cotton and is just so soft and lovely.
