It was one of those finds where I had a moment or two of stunned shock upon seeing it, then gleefully snatched it up before anyone else could. Not that the gentlemen nearby would have been interested but you never know

Lately I have aquired a couple of beaut old tins from my brother the collector/hoarder/garage sale nut, so thought I might show them off. My favourite is this fantastic one with the deer on it. It has a lovely folk feel to it and is now the home of many colourful threads. It seems natural that a box of such brilliant colour should contain a rainbow. I did have to fight Tully for it though, thankfully she was happy with a quality streets tin.



The hatbox tins were also pinched from the bro. They are just awesome and once given a bit of tlc will take pride of place in my sewing room. I love hatboxes but these are just that bit more special being tin. I'm a bit unsure on what colour to paint the red one. Maybe cream....what do you think?

And my last little tidbit isn't a tin, but I realised today that I hadn't shown this one off so thought I'd share it. I wish I could say that I made it but nope, my clever Mum did. She's a slight bag enthusiast (she's made more bags than i've had hotmeals lol) and gifted me the pattern and fabric for my birthday but I never got around to making it so she did for me. It's from a Melly and Me pattern and I love it.

ekkkk...Yep it's been ages hasn't it! Well I do have good excuses, I haven't just been a lazy blogger.
I've been busy packing for a big move down south. Lach got a new job so it's all been a bit crazy with finding a new house and packing and all that other woohah that goes with relocating. I'm a pretty dab hand at moving house.....I've done it too many times to remember so it's not too bad. The finding boxes to pack has been the biggest challenge and then having no car for 1 1/2 weeks as the mechanic is so darn slack....anyway..... I was just dropping in to say "hi" and enjoy the sunshine that's finally here and see ya on the other side of the big move.

Our newest little pixie

Gee things have been a ball of all things snuffly, sneezy and wheezy here since we returned from holidays. Nasty colds are hanging around and new little bugs have been thrown into the mix. So hence not a lot has been achieved lately. I've slowly, slowly been working away at some things so if your waiting on something from me I promise it won't be too far away.

What I have been doing however is growing a new little pixie inside my tum. Yep another little one to join the clan. We are so super excited about it. I didn't really know how far along I was but today we went and had a look at little pixie and found our estimated due date will be around mid feb. I was going to post a pic of the scan but it's all fuzzy and stuff and I have to have a pic with a post so here's my big 4 year old as a little 5 week old. awwwwww They sure grow super fast. Tully is really looking forward to having a little sister called Barbie and Asher is in denial. Poor little man is gonna have his little world turned upside down.
