a tee for tully

i have been wanting to make this tee for ages and decided i better bite the bullet and do it or tully would never have things made for her. I'm not totally happy with it but it's ok for the first one. I'm going to make one for the rainbow girl lily and change/refine a few things and then i think i might do one to sell. Well after i reduce the huge list of other things i have to do.

I appliqued some felt and material on first and then painted the dollie and sewed on the ricrac and buttons and hairties. For the life of me i couldn't get the stitch down the centre of the ric rac. Might scrap it for the next one, even thoughi know lily's mum loves ric rac.

Tully absolutely loves it and was busting to put it on. She calls it her tully dolly and makes everyone pat it.
Next the apron needs to be sewn up. We baked today and tully had no apron to wear.

little leadbeater

this little leadbeater tee is part of a trade i'm doing with a very talented and very busy WAHM. I have another tee to do for her but was pretty proud of this little dude so i wanted to show him off. It's a leadbeater possum and i think he's so cute. I've painted him on a organic cotton striped tee and i love how it's come up. I have heaps of these tee's that i've been saving for special paintings. They are soo soft and wash up beautifully. They are also fair trade so they're pretty spesh. Hanging to do some more on these tee's.
Leadbeater possum's are really special little possum's. Firstly they are one of the most vulnerable possum's in australia with only about 4000 estimated. They are also teeny tiny. An adult measures about 15cm with an 18cm tail. They are also terribly cute.

ohhhh pretty

this is some stuff i got today at spotlight. i really shouldn't buy more fabric as i have tones packed away and heaps of other to do's on my list but i really want to make tully a funky apron for when we bake. So the green paisley stuff and the pink spotty and the ric rac are going to become a reversible little apron with a pocket. The rainbow was a bargain and even though i've bought it before for my little rainbow niece i couldn't leave it behind. And the butterflies are just damn cute.
This is for a new project i've been wanting to do for ages. So what do you get when you mix a tee, felt, material , ric rac, buttons, thread and paint? You'll have to stay tuned to find out;)

fern is the latest addition. I really like her colours and desperatly want some gumboots like hers lol. Still to come is fernando (not ferdinand). I've started him and am at the stage of blocking in the colours so hopefully he'll get done in time to join the others for friday night.

These are my latest two offerings to go up on Ozebaby. Riff and pixie Q. At the moment i'm liking doing male and female ones of the same theme. i looove the guitars.lol. i also have a bit of strange liking for suzi Quatro. I'm not really that into her music althoughit does get stuck in my head. I think i just like her image and tough chick feel. Of course when i did a rocker girl it had to be suzi along with mullet to boot. I couldn't really pick a male rocker... i was thinking of using slash with big frizzy hair and little top hat ...he would have been funny. but decided to go for a cute little dude instead. A billy idol one would have been funny though.

I have another 2 to finish before i put these up live on Friday night. Still to come is Fern and Ferdinand.

two little girls

these tee's are for 2 little girls who requested the same tee! Too funny. Their little sister received one recently and so they thought they would like one too. It's a bit like spot the difference as they obviously aren't exactly the same but i tried to get them as close as possible. The only major difference is the hair colour. I call them Milly and Molly.

all's quiet.....

sitting here enjoying the peace and ....ahhhhhh.. quiet. Lach has taken tully off to get tea and asher is sleeping. ahhhh the serenity.

have been trying to get a couple of customs finished but the kids haven't been very helpful on that front. I'm doing 2 tee's for a couple of little girls who have requested the same top. Apparently they like to wear the same things lol. it's acually quite difficult to try and do things the same. The hair colour is different but otherwise they're pretty close. So my little blurb about people never seeing the same thing twice might be wrong in this instance.

Have decided that tully needs a new tee for her owl so off to find one. But have a new idea i'm hoping to get done this weekend for another spesh top for her. Will hopefully have a pick to show by the end of the weekend.

star light, star bright

the latest additions to the pint pixie family are stahlia (top) and starskie. Going live on ozebaby sunday night at 9pm.

violet sea snail

having a bit of a break from the pixies and painting something i looooove to paint. shells. I love shells. i have hundreds around the house and have always painted and drawn them. I love the smooth curved forms, the intricate shapes within shapes and the immense variety and possibilites for creativity. I aloso love to zoom in on them and increase the size by hundreds. I have been inspired by Georgia O'Keefe alot as young artist and still find myself going back to admire her cow skulls and flower paintings in which she blows up images, cropping and zooming in on certain elements. Well that is what i've done here in a sense. harking back to my painting of a long time ago. This little shell is about 2cm square but i've made it huge. It isn't the most stunning or the most striking of my collection but i love the curves and colour in it. I also love the idea of looking at things in a new light and particularly the real little things in life. .....All this for a little tee. and yes it is little...just a size 00 lol well who says you have to be able to speak to appreciate art.
Unfortunatley lach had to return the kick ass whizz bang fantastic camera and has borrowed another one that's not so good. so the quality of these shots is pretty crappy..oh well
anyway tee goes up tonight on ozebaby. i hope someone likes it

m beautiful babies

Aren't they gorgeous. Most of the time they are great mates and play beautifully. that's most of the time.

They both have really warm and generous natures. Everyday i find myself watching them and having a little giggle at their antics

mila's poppy

i don't usually do customs as i get a bit nervous about whether they'll be liked. But the tee this little poppy is going to is someone who has helped me out and given support when i was in a bit of a weird situation. I've just finished another lolipop girl (lollie) but this one is for a real lollipop girl.

pixie meg

this is the first pixie adult tee i've made. It's for another pixie lover who is coincidentally called meg too and has an asha. I hope she likes it and that it fits! Meg is an ace recorder player...hence the recorder

would you check out my little rednut in his matching rednut tee. i love it on him. He is such an engaging little dude with a really charismatic nature. The second shot is of him on his new buzzy wheely bug he got for his b'day. it was such a perfect gift and he really loves it. Here lachie is zooming, or should that be buzzing, him around whilst he squeals with delight. He can sit on it by himself too which for someone who doesn't walk yet it's pretty impressive
