on my desk......Wednesday

Lots of new things on my desk today. A new hat from cloud 9 creations for Tully. It is made just beautifully and looks socute on. Some paper for tags, fabric for pixies and the latest Homespun with an article and softie pattern on Jhoanna of one red robin.

I love Jhoanna's softie's. Her little chibi doll was one of the first softie's I made and one of the reasons why I became so hooked on making them. She has been nominated for a softie award. Go here and vote for her gorgeous babushka. And then go here and check out what's on some other desk's today:)

new pixies

Say hi to Jasper. He will be making an appearance over in the shop today. Go and check him out, he's very friendly.

Another addition to the pixie clan is Tully's new mate , who is yet to be named. Knowing Tully she'll be bestowed with a fabulous name, although her naming of our perch as Amy is really quite lovely.

Things are going very slowly at the moment. We had guests on the weekend so I spent a good portion of last week giving the house a good clean so not a lot of pixie making went down. I do have a couple cut out and on the way AND some t-shirts all ready for a bit of applique and then finaly some painting. THEN Iwant to get my gocco out for a spin this weekend! We have a friend's 30th though so there may be a bit of sore headness to conquer, although we did pass on the bus tour of the wineries so it may not be too bad.

still here...

I haven't been abducted by little green men. I've just been drawing them:) He's a bit cute hey. Hopefully he'll make an appearance on something sometime soon.

I'm not too sure where the last week went. It sure wasn't in a flurry of productivity craft wise. I have finished yet another pixie for my tulster and nearly another one for the shop. I've been doing a little bit of doodling and thinking about the gocco. I can't believe I still haven't got it going. Well I can really:) I have a bit of a list of things to do and I really want to do them before I pull out the gocco or I know they just won't get done. I'm pretty keen to get that little printing machine going though!

In the next week or two I'm hoping to have a bit of a stocking of some tee's as it's been a while since I've done much. I have some new sketches, like the little alien dude that I would like to pop up. I also have some more girlie pixie softies cut out so they will hopefully appear before too long as well.

Tulster is a big kindy girl now having started pre-entry today. She loved it which is so cool. I'm in search of something cool for her to store her lunch in. I have seen some pretty fab lunch bag thingies on etsy made out of wetsuit material and I'd love to make her something similar. I don't think Lach will let me chop up his wettie so I may need to find an alternative to use. Hmmm....... any ideas?

on my desk ......on a tuesday night:)

We're heading off to the zoo tomorrow so I thought I'd pop this up tonight. I actually cleaned up my desk today and it is looking rather spotless, for my desk anyway. I love giving it a good clean up and rearranging "stuff". It is never really spotless and bare though, just more organised.

I have a little easel that sits on my desk and usually has a WIP sitting upon it. Not at the moment though and since it was looking so bare I popped one of Tully's little paintings on it. I do love this one. She did it when she was about 18months old, can you see her little handprint? I think THAT is what I love so much about it. Most of Tully's paintigs do have her handprints on them though. She likes to get into her paintings but tends to end up folding the paintgs up and screwing them up these days. I guess it's just part of her experimenting with them but I do miss having her finished pieces to show off. She draws and paints recognisable forms now which I truly love. Such a delight to here her stories of what she is drawing.

fun !!!!

Oh what a fun day we had yesterday:) To celebrate the little rednut's birthday (which hapens to be today:), we headed up into the hills to a little train/ farm "place". There were trains to be rode and sheep to be patted = fun for all. It was also a stunningly gorgeous day. Smiles all round.

Tully decided to wear one of my dresses Grannie Annie made for me when I was a little one. I love it!

On the way home we dropped in to Carrick Hill on the spur to check out the children's literary trail. More fun!!

cool zebras from Animalia.

and secret doors. Apparently no one was home.
Lots of fun to celebrate the number 2!

just one good shot....

Today we received a beautiful package in the mail. A very very pretty new dress for Tully and some great nappies for Asher from the very talented Lesley of Cherub's Kiss Tully is such a little princess and absolutely loves the dress. It is just so pretty. Can you see the smocking detail on it? Just perfect! Anyway, since Tully was looking so daper I thought I'd try and take some shots of the kids together. Why, oh why can I never get a shot of the two of them that is really good! No, I always get really cute shots of them, but not the sort that you can give to nan and pa as a pic of the kids. Know what I mean? I can never get them to both smile at the camera at the same time. Not a nice smile...sure I can get manic smiles but not "cute" smiles.

Today's shot do make me laugh though. And they are cute....

A great one of Tully:) As sweet as the dress she's wearing.

on my desk .......wednesday

Gee it's been nearly a week since my last post. Not sure where that week went. I think it was in a shower of hankies and whineing about being sick of being sick on my part. Yep - still sick. Turns out I have a sinus infection. Yucko :( So It's been a fairly unproductive week again.

On my desk today are a couple of little pixie gals getting ready to make an appearance along with a pair of duds for the asher boy that just need the elastic finished in them. They've needed that elastic finished in them for the last 2 weeks. Oh well, Asher doesn't care. The duds are completley ripped-off from a pair tikki made for him last year but hey she's my sis and she let's me.

Another of my sister's, Julianne, sent me this awesome bag for my birthday. I've used it already! Clever chicks my sister's!

Go and check out what is on someother desk's around the traps here

on my desk - a day late

Why do you have two camera batteries if both of them are flat at them same time? I found myself asking myself this afternoon. Oh well, the most exciting thing on my desk today and yesterday was this awesome piece of printing equipment which arrived on my doorstep on Tuesday. It was my birthday and Lach was so clever to organise shipment from Japan just in time to arrive on the exact day!!!! No he wasn't really that clever, it was just sheer luck. It still looks like that too! All boxed up. I still have a fuzzy head from a crazily horrible headcold and I don't want to tackle the gocco until I have a real brain again. Hope that won't be long now! I visited the health shop yesterday and got some stuff to help fight the dreaded thing and get me back on track. We got the gocco (and the image) from here.

Apart from staring aimlessly at the gocco, and looking after the ankle biters, I have also finished off a couple of t-shirts and have one softie/tee set all ready to go up in the shop Keo softie and t-shirt set should be making an appearance sometime tonight. I will also have a little gertie girl softie and t-shirt set appearing over the next day or so. She still has to "get stuffed".

Here's a little sneak peek at the next pikki tint set I'm about to send off to Tikki today. It's sure is going to be a cute set I think. A special boy's one!

bloomin' lurgy's

What a crazy weekend we had here. A bit yuck really. The kids and I have colds for about a week, hankies go in and out of the wash with disgusting speed. Gross. Poor little Asher also came down with an ear infection on Saturday which resulted in some very sleepless nights for us all and very zombiesque people yesterday. And we're still all full of the dreaded lurgy! Poor us! Lach is the only trouper who hasn't come down with it.

So regardless to say not a lot was achieved over the weekend. However, I did pull out the paints brushes and finally finished the t-shirt that has been sitting on my easel for the last coule of weeks. It's going off to tikki's to become a pikki tint set and should make an appearance on ozebaby sometime soon. I also started 2 t-shirt to go with a couple of softies, which I have also finished.

Keo (above) is all ready to go and his little friend Gertie just needs some more stuffing and wings. I also made a couple of hairclips inspired by the accessories Gertie was sporting. They should be up in the shop some time today.

on my desk ....

Lots of stuff on my desk today but I decided to focus on the contents of this little bowl. I like bowls and piles. I need bowls to put "stuff" in and books and paperwork go into piles, to be organised and put away at a much later date. This is pretty much what my desk ( a massive old dining table) is full of. Well no not full, there is room to work on.

In the bowl is ...a scrap of cute little Japanese fabric, peg doll awaiting inspiration, people hole punch, fantastic owl trim from gorgeous friend, bee brooch, beautiful handmade lace bookmark given tome by wonderful lacemaker and elastic and other bits and bobs. Basically stuff I use a bit or is too nice to hide away.

softie love, love, love

Is this not one of the cutest shots!!!! I love it. What a little cherub my little girl can be....most of the time.

Today was glorious. It has been really cold lately which is a bit extreme after having so much heat for so long. Apparently Adelaide has had it's lowest temps for March as well as its highest. Crazy. Anyway, today had warmth in the air and blue skies so I grabbed the opportunity to take some shots of the softies to pop up in the shop. I've had a really lovely response to these so I'm really hoping that someone is going to love Millicent mushroom, the first little lass to go up for sale.

I love her bright vibrant colours! Pink, red and orange are just such a superb colour combination.

I'm working on some mates for her which will hopefully make an appearance before the end of the week. I would also really like to pop up a matching softie and t-shirt, how cute would that be for a gift! But we're all a little sniffly in the house at the moment so I guess we'll just have to see how that one goes. Still haven't picked up the paint brush for a while. Maybe tomorrow....

I'm planning on stocking alot of stuff randomly. I tried to do the hyena thing recently myself and I really sucked at it and just got really frustrated so I'm going to try not to do that to anyone else anymore. I figure surprises are always nicer, so if your keen on some pint wares, check the shop regularly and you may just find what you want sitting there waiting for you.

Oh and I'm a little bit *blush* embarassed about the give away I offered the other day. I had a couple of comments but no one really said they wanted it and I hadn't really said to say "i'd like the pattern pretty please". Sooooo let me know if you'd like the pattern I offered in the post below. Let's just say first in first served:) But please tell me if you want it in your post. Bit of a lame give away really. I promise a bigger and better one some time soon:)
